Sometimes we have parts that go into full “Who-ville Heist” mode, stealthily stealing our peace and making it tough to see the innocence, radiance, and perfection in the world and each other.

If it takes a sunset, a deep moment of love, or a little psychedelic assistance to feel the relief of beauty and oneness, it is a sign that some very busy parts are still veiling our true essence.

Jim Carrey’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas wins as my favorite holiday movie for its playful darkness and its way of seeing through the confusion of our innocent, parts-led lives. The happy ending, where burdened parts fall away and the heart grows three sizes, represents in me the Self Essence of us all. It is the moment we have been waiting for, when the contraction melts away so we can finally see, know, and be what has been here all along.
